Questions

How do I price snow removal?

Many snow pros charge per push (per visit), and some sell a seasonal contract. Some pricing guides recommend starting from your hourly cost rather than square footage. This calculator does both: each line has a price and worker-minutes, so the margin check shows whether the visit pays for your time. The example rates here are only a starting point: set your own.

Per push or seasonal contract?

A per-push price is charged every time you clear the property. A seasonal contract is one price for the winter. One way to set it is the per-visit price times the number of visits you expect, based on past winters. Choose 'Seasonal contract' to see the per-visit price after your contract discount, then multiply by your expected visits. In a heavy winter you make more visits for the same contract price, so plan for it.

What does the snow depth multiplier change?

Only the lines ticked as 'depth applies' (driveway, walkway, steps, roof raking and mailbox clearing by default). Salting is not affected. Set your own multipliers, or set them to 1 if you charge a separate price for deep snow.

What does the slope / access multiplier change?

It scales every line of the visit, because a sloped driveway or tight access slows all the work down. Set it to 1 if you price this another way.

Why a minimum charge per visit?

Every push costs you driving, fuel and setup time, even on a short driveway. A minimum charge makes sure each visit is worth doing.

Is it free? What does Pro cost?

The calculator is free in your browser, with no account. Pro is a one-time payment of $19 for this tool: your business name on every quote, your own work items and a saved price book. No subscription.

Is this a CRM?

No. It is a quoting tool: it works out a price and prints a quote. It has no invoicing, no scheduling and no customer list, and you do not need an account. The numbers you type stay in your browser.

Prices and times are your own inputs: the example values are only a starting point, not market rates. Your data stays in your browser; only a licence key is checked when you unlock Pro.
